Wales Millennium Centre is one of the most unique and lively performing arts centre in Europe, attracting over 1.5 million visitors since it was opened by Her Majesty The Queen in 2004. Look beyond the amazing exterior, as featured in Torchwood and Dr Who, and you will come across a bustling atmosphere that makes our visitors want to return time and time again. Doctor Who and Torchwood
The Millennium Centre has appeared in Doctor Who four times to date: as itself from outside in the episode “Boom Town”, its lobby appeared as a hospital lobby in the far future in the episode “New Earth”, and it was featured briefly in the episode “Utopia” and the final episode of series 3, “Last of the Time Lords”.
The spin-off series Torchwood is set underneath the Basin, with the Millennium Centre’s frontage featuring heavily through the show.
